At this year’s Geneva Motor Show Citroen will be presenting a new concept model based on their funky DS series. It’s called the High Rider and it’s a four-seater coupe which Citroen says unlike conventional low and wide coupes, is compact and muscular. Maybe that’s why it looks more like a tall hatchback than a stylish coupe! The high Rider is an evolution of the existing DS and hints at the future models.

The 4.26m long, 1.82m wide & 1.48m high DS HIGH RIDER has a number of distinctive exterior features such as the unique 19-inch alloy wheels, high waistline, a sleek flowing windscreen that soars over the heads of front occupants and of course its glossy golden paintwork and brushed chrome trim.

And because it;s fashionable these days, the high Rider is powered by a full hybrid powertrain. It’s actually a diesel hybrid system with a refined HDi DPFS engine and an electric motor on the rear axle. So it’s super economical! Citroen has not mentioned how much horsepower this system develops, but reading the words diesel and electric, you can’t expect much anyway!
