Those who can afford an Aston Martin DB9 almost certainly can afford a DBS as well, but some of them might want to save a couple of grands and turn a second-hand DB9 into a DBS! This is what German tuner Edo Competition has done for a Russian customer who had a 5 year old DB9, but wanted a DBS quite badly!

The body is obviously garnished with all the kits and bits of the original DBS such as the bumpers, hoods, skirts and so on, but the interior is bespoke to the customer and is restyled with leather and alcantara as well as carbon fiber accents.

They have also installed a high-end audio system on the car, as well as a sport exhaust system so the car sounds well both inside and out! This new exhausts also help with the power. The standard DBS has 510 hp, but for this car the V12 engine is upgraded from 470 up to 550 hp, so the performance is also enhanced and the car can no do 320 km/h (199 mph) instead of 295.

Bigger high performance brakes, uprated sport suspension and 20-inch DBS wheels are the last parts of this conversion kit. The thing is, we are not sure this package (along with the cost of the car) is actually cheaper than buying a factory-made DBS!
