This year in the 40th anniversary of Mercedes 300 SEL 6.8 AMG, aka the Red Pig, class victory at 24-hour race in Spa-Francorchamps, team Black Falcon decided to pay homage to the legendary car by painting their Mercedes SLS GT3 in the SEL’s original livery. What’s more, one of the drivers of the SLS is Kenneth Heyer, son of Hans Heyer, the man who drove the original Red Pig to Victory. Here’s a tribute video Mercedes has made to commemorate the event.
