These guys were probably thinking how cool they are looking doing high speed donuts in their shiny new Camaro, right up to the moments the side airbags spontaneously deployed! The vehicle apparently has very sensitive rollover sensors, so in high speed maneuvers such as drifting, as the car angles vigorously on one side they might panic and deploy the airbags. Chevrolet has responded to this by saying it’s safer not to drift your Camaro at all. But… it’s a muscle car, not a family hatchback for crying out loud.
