German sports car maker Gumpert turned up at the 2012 Geneva Motor show with two new versions of its Apollo supercar. They have come up with the Apollo R and the Apollo Enraged. The first one is a full-blooded race car – well, a track toy to be honest – and the latter a special edition for the privileged people with no taste in style, because it’s still massively ugly!

The Apollo R race car is powered by a heavily tricked-out supercharged V8 engine developing 860hp. Now, given the fact that the R only weighs 1,100kg, this should be enough to give you goosebumps on your track days.

The car also features bespoke chassis and suspension, enhanced engine and transmission cooling system, racing gearbox and digital tachometer.

The special edition Apollo Enraged has only got 780 hp, and it’s heavier than the R at 1,175 kg. But it’s street-legal. So you get the R for your legal track racing, and the Enraged for your illegal street racing. It’s limited to only three units though.
