In preparation for this Summer’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, Bentley sent the new Continental V8 along with the crew to the hill for a couple of practice runs. During the event VIP guests got an early look at the latest Bentley, plus the amazing Supersports Convertible ISR, a world record car, and the Mulsanne.
The Bentley Continental GT V8 is the lighter, more efficient version of the W12, powered by a new 4.0 litre V8 developing 500 hp. It’s a half-arsed Bentley, maybe, but it’s sounds brilliant and it doesn’t lack in terms of performance either.
As mentioned besides the V8, the Bentley Driving Team also took the opportunity to give the world’s fastest luxury convertible, the 6.0 litre W12 Continental Supersports Convertible ISR, as well as the company’s flagship, the 6.75 litre V8 Mulsanne, some early season and high-speed workouts.
“The team had an excellent day at Goodwood with the new Continental V8 and we’re now looking forward to returning in the summer as one of the Festival’s official partners and with our leading ‘Bentley Boy’ drivers behind the wheel,” commented Steven Egan, Bentley’s Marketing Operations Manager.
