Hartge BMW 525d F10 at Hartge BMW 525d F10The next tuning program from BMW specialist Hartge concern the diesel-powered BMW 5 Series F10, the 525d model. With the high-performance but fuel efficient diesel engines in high demand these days, Hartge engineers are shifting focus to them to provide customers with more potent engines. The astonishing thing is they also improve the efficiency. 

In this BMW 525d case they reckon their engine treatment will improve fuel consumption by approximately half a liter in every 100 km. That’s quite remarkable when you realize the output of the engine is boosted from the standard 218 hp and 450 Nm of torque to 258 hp and 530 Nm of torque.

That extra power has a profound effect on the car’s in-gear performance, as the 80 to 180 km/h acceleration time is reduced by 5 seconds. The top speed meanwhile is increased to 240 km/h. CO2 rating for this engine is 140 g/km.
