hennessey GT at Hennessey Ford GT at 2012 Texas Mile: 257.7 mph

Texas Mile is kind of the ideal place to show off capabilities of  a 1000-bhp twin-turbo Ford GT. The Hennessey-built Ford GT TT drive by Sean Kennedy set an amazing record of 257.7 mph at the end of the run, achieving a new standing mile world record. That’s kinda surprising, as the top speed mentioned for the car in Hennessey’s official website is 245 mph. It must have a few extra mods over the GT1000 package.

The GT1000 does 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and runs the quarter-mile in 10.6 seconds.
