Toyota turned up at this year’s Beijing Auto Show with two new concept cars. One if the Dear Qin, shown in two sedan and hatchback variants, previewing an upcoming global model set for launch in 2013, with an emotional styling and focus on handling. The other is a China-only sedan called Yundong Shuangqing and it’s a hybrid. This too will be produced in near future for the Chinese market.

The name Yundong Shuangqing means something like “movement upon clouds” and “dual support”, probably hinting at the car’s hybrid system. It’s the new Toyota’s corporate slogan in China, designed to convey an image of innovation, dynamism and eco-friendliness.

The system in this car is different than Toyota’s regular hybrids, and is developed locally at the Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (China) Co.
