Hennessey Ford GT 212 MPH at Hennessey Ford GT Set New 1/2 Mile Record: 212.9 MPH

Bored with the quarter mile challenges, Mark Heidaker took his ridiculously painted, Hennessey-powered Ford GT to the Houston Half Mile Shootout. Standing Half a mile seems much more fun to us, as the car can reach incredible speeds. And that is exactly what this GT did. Driven by Sean Kennedy, the car clocked a mind-boggling 212.9 mph. Kudos to Hennessey for the job they’ve done on the GT’s engine. That supercharged V8 might belong to the Lightning pickup truck, but boy is it meaty!
