36 years old ex-Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher anticipates that his older brother Michael, now at Mercedes, might soon return to his victorious career. The seven times world champion didn’t reach a podium since 2010, when he decided to return to Formula 1 after retiring three years before.

“Michael returned to Formula 1 to have success with Mercedes, and he won’t give up until he achieves it. He is eager to work more and more, as we have seen during the tests at Mugello last week.” said Ralf Schumacher, who currently participates in the DTM championship, to the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag.

Getting a podium is the major objective of the 43 years old pilot, assures his brother. “I think we’ll see him there soon.”

Regarding the end of Michael’s career, Ralf doesn’t believe it is for now. “There will be a time when the body can’t continue, but when I see him I feel it will still take several years. I certainly won’t run for as long as he is.” Ralf said.

Let’s wait and see, Ralf’s expectations have certainly a high degree of emotional influence, in our case we don’t think he’ll ever get back anywhere near his old standards.
