Being busy with marketing the new FR-S doesn’t mean Scion has forgot about its good old tC Coupe. They just outed the new tC Release Series 8 version, featuring a five-piece body kit including front and rear lower valences, side skirts and spoiler inspired by Troy Sumitomo of Five Axis Design. Absolutely Red paint job, black roof, mirrors and 18-inch wheels are other distinguishing features of this model.

The interior is garnished with sport seats in texturized black fabric with red stitching, which also continues on the steering wheel. The 8.0 also comes with steering-mounted paddle shifters, and an individually numbered badge.

It is not all about the visuals though. The tC Release 8.0 also gets a couple of parts from Toyota Racing Development (TRD), such as lowering springs and an exhaust system with a single trapezoidal endpipe that looks really cool. All these changes will make the small coupe a more joyful car to drive, and a more formidable rival for the Kia Forte Koup.

Pricing for this car starts at $21,815 and $22,865 when equipped with a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission respectively. The engine is a 2.5L 180 horsepower unit that sends its power to the front wheels.
