The new Corvette 427 Convertible is, to all intents and purposes, the finest and most complete Corvette built to date. This gorgeous drop-top ‘Vette features a 505 horsepower (377 kW) and 470 lb.-ft. of torque (637 Nm) LS7 V8 that combined with a six-speed manual gearbox gives the car a o to 60mph time of 3.8 seconds. That is the subject of this new teaser video. The car’s one of the fastest open-top cars in the world right now.

3.8 second is super car territory. The 427 is, after all, Chevy’s celebratory model for the Corvette’s 60th anniversary. So they wanted to make sure it’s something truly special. Job done, we think.

Corvette 427 comes as standard with the 60th Anniversary package including Arctic White exterior with a Blue Diamond leather-wrapped interior with suede accents. Convertible models will have a blue top. It also comes with a ZR1-style rear spoiler, special badging, gray-painted brake calipers and the “60th” logo on the wheel center caps, steering wheel and seat headrests
