Suzuki finally give Grand Vitara a facelift, but you kinda wish they hadn’t touched it at all. Unveiled at the Moscow Motor Show, the new Vitara gets a fresh new face featuring a sporty grille and a new bumper with redesigned fog lights and silver accent. The car looks kinda sad and miserable though.

The Vitara desperately needs a proper redesign. The car didn’t look very contemporary when it was first launched, let alone a couple of years on. There are some new details as well, such as the wing mirrors or the wheels, but they don’t make a big difference really.

Inside the cabin the design is the same, but the materials have improved and there are new colors for the seats and door panels to keep things fresh, sort of.

The Vitara Facelift is currently on sale in Japan. Specs and pricing of the car for the overseas markets are yet to be announced.
