2013 Chevy Malibu ECO “State of Mind” Commercial

In this new commercial Chevrolet tries to summarize all that is good about the new 2013 Malibu ECO in about 30 seconds. Thanks to the eAssist system the car is fairly economical, it is also kinda good looking, and being American, it is also very comfortable. Those qualities, Chevy thinks, are enough to put you in the Malibu ‘State of Mind.’

They probably are, if all you want from your car is to move you from A to B in moderate comfort. But if you want anything else, like driving fun for example, we doubt the Malibu will able to deliver.

Chevrolet Malibu ECO’s eAssist system is mated to a 2.4L Ecotec direct-injection four-cylinder engine and next-generation six-speed automatic transmission. The 2.4L engine is efficient and lightweight, featuring dual-overhead cams, direct injection, continuously variable intake and exhaust timing and electronic throttle control, as well as a lightweight aluminum cylinder block and cylinder head. It is rated at an estimated 180 horsepower (134 kW).
