As the latest special edition fortwo (or fourtwo), the iceshine is supposed to be the coolest version of the Smart city car. After all, there has been a hundred million other SE fortwos before it, so Smart has probably learned what works and what does not. The car is now going on sale in Britain, where people know a thing or two about being cool. If they don’t buy it, the iceshine will be judged as a failure.

The iceshine will have an on-the-road price of £10,500 when it launches in October, and for that you will get a fortwo powered by either a 71 bhp (52 kW) mhd or 84 bhp (62 kW) turbo engine. As with other special edition fortwos though, this car is all about the visual features and equipments.

So the iceshine comes in striking azure blue with a white tridion safety cell that is complemented by new 3-double-spoke, 15” white alloy wheels and white mirror caps. LED daytime running lights enhance an impressive specification that also features air conditioning, a panoramic roof (tritop fabric soft top in black for the cabrio), electric windows and a luggage compartment cover.

Inside it gets leather seats with a white fabric insert on the backrest and white stitching, a 3-spoke leather sports steering wheel with shift paddles and white stitching plus white accent parts. Notable features include audio system navigation/multimedia, assistance package with cruise control and trip computer, electric power steering, ambient lighting and surround sound system.

Only 155 smart fortwo iceshinie will be imported into the UK.
