Porsche 911 GT2 RS is – or rather was, as it was limited to just 500 units and they are all sold – an insane car. It has scary speed and twitchy handling which is downright dangerous. It may sound weird, but that is exactly why die hard Porsche fans loved it so much. Now Wimmer RS has come up with a treat for the RS lovers.

What they do is take a standard 500 horsepower GT2 RS, and boost its output to an incredible 1,020 hp. That means o to 60 mph takes 3.4 seconds, and 120 mph is met after 8.7 seconds. That is what happens when you have 1,108 Nm of torque.

If you are brave enough to keep your foot down you will hit 180 mph after 18.8 seconds. The top speed is 241 mph or 389 km/h.

What Wimmer has done to arrive at that kind of power and performance includes changing the stock turbochargers with their own units, using optimized air induction, sports camshafts and crankshaft, timing chains, machined cylinder heads, pistons and connecting rods, a fuel pump unit, two manifolds with bypass and two 200 cell sport catalysts.

Changes to the chassis include a 3-way adjustable KW Competition suspension, and a set of 19-inch wheels. That is about it. The final modification is a blue wrap for the body, done by CamShaft.
