Chevrolet Malibu is a very well engineered family sedan. But because of that, some may argue that it’s slightly bland and boring. Now at 2012 SEMA Chevy has a chance to prove them wrong, as they are bringing a Malibu Turbo Performance Concept to the show.

This car shows Malibu’s personalization possibilities in terms of styling. The engine has apparently remained untouched. The 2.0 liter turbo four-pot in the Malibu Turbo is good for 250 horsepower, 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.

Wrapped in Berlin Blue Tricoat exterior paint and a Jet Black/Navy Blue interior, the Malibu Performance features a cool body kit consisting of front splitter, rockers and rear diffuser, plus a custom grille, ice-tinted chrome accents, and red detailing. The highlight of the exterior is the 20×8.5-inch aluminum wheels in Night Rider chrome with 255 Pirelli P-Zero tires.

Inside, RECARO sport seats, Jet Black leather and Navy Blue suede-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, door panels and instrument panel, suede-wrapped shift booth, and black chrome trims are the main features.
