Brabus finally gets busy with the new Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake and releases its first package for the car. It’s not the full AMG model they’ve been working on, but rather normal models with small petrol and diesel engines. But do not despair. Somewhere along the way they are going to introduce a Shooting Brake with 700 horsepower.

For now you can settle for the styling kit, a couple of different wheels, and power packages for the 250 and 350 diesel, as well as the 500 petrol models. Visually, you get a revised bumper up front with a chin spoiler, side skirts, flared arches with vents in them, and new tailpipes at the back.

Complementing the body kit are Brabus big wheels, available for this car in 8.5J x 17? to 10.5J x 20? sizes and in various different designs.Lowered suspension using Bilstein components also help with the styling as well as handling.

As for the performance, the finest one is for the CLS500 BE, which gets 500 horsepower and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) torque, plus a top speed of over 300 km/h. It renders the CLS63 totally redundant, because it can only reach 250 km/h. Other engine get a healthy upgrade as well, with the 250 CDI enjoying a 31 hp bump in power, while the CLS350 CDi gets a 50 hp upgrade. The latter also has an impressive 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque.

Brabus plans for the 5.5 liter biturbo AMG version include a power boost from 550 hp to 619 hp (455 kW), and 900 to 1.000 Nm (663 to 737 lb-ft). This engine will be able to hit 320 km/h… in a family wagon!
