Chris Harris is back with another classic Chris Harris video! This time he tests a trio of the finest hot hatches currently available in the hot hatch-loving UK market. We have the new Ford Focus ST, the new Vauxhall (Opel) Astra VXR (OPC), and the not so new but still interesting Renault Megane RS.

As always the test begins on the road to see what these cars are like to live with, and then continues with a track test. The track bit is more important, because those who buy hot hatches are mostly enthusiasts who love driving, otherwise they would just buy the normal models. Check out the action below:

Even though the Astra is the fastest on the track, it’s not the overall winner because it still has some issues that need to be addressed. It’s a pretty good effort though, especially compared to the last Astra VXR. The Focus is the most complete package here with decent road and track capabilities, but for sheer driving pleasure, and not much else, you gotta have the Renault..
