The wait for the Mercedes SLS Black Series is almost over, as they promise to reveal the car in less than 24 hours. AMG just released this teaser image without actually saying that it’s the SLS Black, but it cannot be anything else.

For one thing, Mercedes AMG do not have anything else in the pipeline that would be revealed at this time of year. Plus, it doesn’t really take a genius to say the car under the cover here is an SLS.

If you look at the back of the car, you see that the trunk is slightly raised. That is the Black Series fixed rear wing, as seen in the most recent spyshots and videos. Apart from that, the SLS Black features widened fenders, more muscular bumpers, larger wheels, and a revised interior.

What’s under the bonnet is probably the most interesting bit of the car though. It is the same old 6.2 liter V8, but rumor has it AMG has tuned it to well over 600 horsepower for the Black.
