Maserati Quattroporte at 2014 Maserati Quattroporte Performance Specs

With the new Maserati Quattroporte now gearing up for its market launch, the Italian company releases more details on the car’s technical and performance specs. We knew before this what kind of engines the new QP is coming with, but we didn’t have any performance numbers until now.

The entry-level Quattroporte will be powered by a Chrysler-sourced Pentastar 3.0 liter V6 engine, boosted a twin turbo system that helps it develop 410 horsepower and 552 Nm of torque. It takes the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and let it go all the way to 285 km/h (177 mph). It’s a good option, if you can leave with the fat that it’s a Chrysler engine. There is nothing wrong with it, but it’s not as glamorous as, say, a Ferrari-built engine, which is what you get with the V8 model.

The V8 Quattroporte has a displacement of 3.8 liters and a twin-turbo system. This one makes 530 horsepower, and 649 Nm of torque – 710 with an overboost function. Performance-wise, the V8 model goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and onto a top speed of 307 km/h (191 mph).

Prices start from 110,000 Euro for the V6 and around 150,000 Euro for the V8 model.
