The new generation Porsche Boxster 981 is said to the best sports car in the world right now. Keen to verify that, MotorTrend’s Carlos Lago grabbed the keys to a Boxster S model and went to test it. As usual the testing begins with some heavy work on the skid pad and continues with a road test. And as great the Boxi is on the track, it is even more brilliant on the road. It is indeed the best sports car in the world.

Just about the only drawback with this particular is the price tag. It is a fully-loaded ‘S’ model with lots of high-tech goodies such as the PDK and Torque Vectoring and what not, and those are pricey items. This car, as tested, costs about 90 grand, which is a basic 911 money. Trouble is, you can’t go for the cheaper entry-level Boxster, because this spec is what makes the car so great.
