TRD Toyota GT86 Griffon Teased Further

The first teaser image Toyota’s Racing Development department released for their Griffon Concept based on Toyota GT86 was, well, rubbish. So they came up with this teaser video showing us a bit more of the car. This is more like it.

In this video you can spot bits of the massive body kit they’ve designed for the GT86 sports car, and notice some of its details such as the cool rear bumper, unique fender extensions, lightweight wheels, and beefed-up suspension.

Performance-wise, the Griffon 86 Concept is definitely getting a meaty upgrade because they recently sent it around Tsukuba circuit and it did a lap time of 1:01:872, which is about one second faster than Ferrari 458.

Official debut of the car is set for 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon.
