Speaking at the National Automobile Dealers Association convention (NADA), Cadillac marketing chief Don Butler confirmed that a redesigned version of the Cadillac CTS sedan is set for debut next month at the 2013 New York Auto Show. CTS is Cadillac’s best selling model.

The new car will join the XTS and ATS to complete Caddy’s modern lineup, and help achieve their ambitious target of increasing sales by 35 percent this year; from 140,000 units last year to 190,000.

So Butler made it abundantly clear that the CTS is an extremely important car, but he refused to provide any details on the new model. From what we’re hearing the 2014 CTS is going to get some of the ATS technologies, including its 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It would be great is they also give it some of the ATS’ chassis and suspension technologies. A V6 and later on a V8 V-Series version will be added to the range.

Butler also confirmed the next-generation Caddy Escalade will be revealed later this year ahead of an early 2014 launch.
