We’ve already had a very good look at the new Range Rover Sport, but now more official pictures of the car leak onto the web, leaving not much left for Land Rover to reveal at the New York Auto Show. These new images confirm the car’s uncanny resemblance to the Evoque.

The new Sport is a good-looking sport. I mean what’s not to like about a more muscular version of the Evoque. It’s just the rear-end design that seems a bit ungainly. Regardless of the looks, the new RR Sport will set new standards in the fast SUV segment and will cause a lot of trouble to cars like the Cayenne GTS or Mercedes ML63.

The old and incredibly heavy Range Rover Sport had a very good on-road drive for a car of this size. Now imagine that car with 400kg less weight to carry around. It is going to be amazing. The engine lineup is yet to be confirmed, but chances are you still get a wide range of choices, from V6 diesels to Supercharged V8s.
