Syrena Sport 2 600x336 at Syrena Sport: New Polish Sports Car Announced

Syrena Sport is a Polish sports car brand with a lot of history that goes as far back as 1950s. Now it’s been revived by a constructor and a designer, and they have come up with a concept study that looks pretty interesting.

Inspired by the original FSO Syrena, the new sports car – if produced – is going to be based on the Nissan 370Z. To be more precise, the powertrain will come from the 370Z. The beautiful body will be made from lightweight materials and won’t weight more than 1,300 kg.

The Nissan V6 engine will be offered in two formats. The standard will produce 350 horsepower while the turbocharged version will be good for 450 horsepower. That power combined with the lightweight body results in a 0 to 60 time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 290 km/h.

But with cars like this performance is not the main source of attraction. That’d be the classic design and merit of the badge. Syrena is yet to decide on limited production of the car.
