The new Jaguar F-Type is in the hands of the press these days and we are getting to know this awesome British sports car better. We saw what the F-Type is like to drive on the road, and we also watched it take on a Porsche 911 on the race track. Now let’s check out the straight line performance.

The guys at MotorSport Magazine do a classic 0-200 km/h test in the F-Type V8S:

The V8 version of the F-Type is powered by a supercharged 5.0 liter unit developing 495 horsepower and 625 Nm of torque. Thanks to an all-aluminum construction, the F-Type wights 1,666 kg, which means it has a superb power to weight ratio. That results in a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 300 km/h.
