German firm OK-Chiptuning has been busy tweaking a pre-facelift 2010 Audi R8 V10. They have done a pretty good job, considering they only deal with electronics. And they must be very pleased with the results, because of the name they’ve given it. They call it the Phantom Black Panther!

This R8 V10 has now 620 horsepower and 570Nm of torque, which are 100hp and 50 Nm more than what the standard 5.2 liter Lamborghini-derived engine makes. Now obviously, that kind of power gain cannot be achieved simply by altering a few lines of codes in the car’s electronic brain.

No, OK-Chip has also used a sport exhaust system that helps the engine breath more easily. They also have valves and stuff in them, which means they’re quiet when you are going along normally, and bark like a wounded animal when you step on it.

The extra oomph will invariably affect the performance. They haven’t revealed the 0-100 time, but 100 to 200 km/h is said to be dealt with in 6.9 seconds. The tuner has also fiddled with the chips inside the car’s R-tronic transmission to make shifting gear a bit quicker.

Last but not least, they fit the car with a carbon fiber front spoiler lip, a carbon rear diffuser, and taillights from Audi R8 GT.
