Bugatti Veyron Super Sport 600x372 at New Details Emerge On Bugatti Super Veyron

Rumors have been flying around for quite some time that Bugatti is working on an ultimate, swan song version of the Veyron, and that it is going to be mind-blowing. Now as we are getting closer to 2014 those reports are becoming more and more legit. The Super Veyron is indeed coming.

So what to expect from this fantasy version of the world’s fastest and most expensive hyper car? Well, insiders are telling us that the Super Veyron will have no less than 1,500 horsepower. That it will be able to do over 280 mph (450 km/h), and that it will cost £5 million apiece.

Those are certainly very bold numbers, but nothing Bugatti engineers can’t achieve. The Super Veyron is said to be much lighter than the SuperSport, shedding almost 200 kg. It will also be more dramatic in terms of design, dictated by the aerodynamic features needed to keep it in check.

The way they are going to extract another 300 horsepower out of that W16 quad-turbo engine is by increasing its capacity, and probably adjusting the turbo boost. Bugatti has already ruled out the addition of an electric motor.

The Super Veyron is almost a go. Bugatti just needs to sell the rest of Veyron production run, and then they can go ahead and close this proud chapter of their history with that incredible machine.
