American tuning firm Callaway who specializes in upgrading GM products announced thy are working on performance packages for the new Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra. Their plans cove both the 5.3L and the 6.2L EcoTec3 engines, and they are claiming some big numbers.

Sophisticated supercharge system in addition to the direct injection and variable valve timing will not only result in massive power outputs, it won’t affect the car’s emission standards, meaning that they will remain legal in 50 states.For the fans of deep mods they also offer a specific version of their legendary Honker air intake and DD exhaust systems.

Callaway reckons they can extract 450 horsepower from the 5.3L engine and more than 540 horsepower from the 6.2L.

Parallel to the engine tuning packages, the tuner is also working on upgraded wheel, tire, suspension, interior and body kits to make the hard-working pickup trucks a lot more desirable and fun for the users. No word on pricing yet.
