Ever since Chrysler let Ram brand took over Dodge’s truck making business, they have been trying to make the products cooler and more trendy, hence the great number of special editions that have come out in recent years. It would be nice if they could spent a little more effort into improving the design and engineering of these pickups as well.

The Black Express is the latest addition to the range of special edition Ram 1500s. As the name suggests, this 1500 is fully blacked-out from head to toe. The body is finished in metallic black, the windows are fully tinted, the lights are smoked, and the 20-inch wheels are finished in black. To soften the edges, Ram has fitted this car with a large array of amber and red LED lights for the indicators and stuff.

Engine-wise, the Black Express can be had with all the available powertrains for the 1550 range. But you can’t pair such mean and aggressive looks with a V6, are you?! You must get the full-fat HEMI V8 with Torqueflite 8 speed transmission. You also have the choice of two or four-wheel-drive.

Available body style for the 1500 Black Express include regular cab, quad cab and crew cab, and prices start from $26,995.
