Following its dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the new Alfa romeo 4C sports car will another UK appearance, this time as the official safety car for the Silverstone round of the FIM World Superbike Championship. This is all part of the car’s pre-launch promotional campaign.

Being a thoroughbred sports car, the 4C didn’t need any modification for the safety car gig. They just changed the color and gave it a unique livery with red, white and green colours of the Italian flag. Weighing slightly over 850 kg and boasting a 240bhp turbo engine, the 4C has easily enough poke to keep up with the Superbikes it is going to lead during the parade lap. It also looks quite cool, especially in this livery.

Alfa Romeo has a long history of partnership with the Superbike community. Earlier this year they launched a promotional promotional program for the MiTo together involving a stunt, and later on they launched the MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK Limited Edition.

Damien Dally, Head of Brand at Alfa Romeo UK said: “Alfa Romeo is a proud sponsor of the FIM World Superbike Championship having been associated with the series for seven years now. As we prepare to launch the Alfa 4C here in the UK, it’s fantastic to be able to showcase this car to the public for a second time as it takes to the prestigious Silverstone circuit.”
