Ford F-150 Raptor Sales Hit Record High

US 14Raptor hero 600x450 at Ford F 150 Raptor Sales Hit Record High

The enchanting story of Ford F-150’s success continues and enters a new chapter. This time the hero is the sporty, high performance Raptor models, which has been so popular it keeps breaking sales records with showing no signs of slowing down.

Since its launch in 2009, the production of Ford F-150 Raptor has increased from two trucks per hour to five. That alone shows the scale of this car’s success. They fly out of showrooms faster than dealers can bring them in.

The growing demand and increase in production points to a larger phenomenon of increased specialization in the full-size pickup category. A pickup truck is no longer just a means of transporting goods for the average American. They now expect luxury, performance, and exclusivity.

To keep the trendy customers happy, Ford announced the launch of a new special edition of the Ford F-150 Raptor SVT for 2014. This models comes with special exterior and interior appointments, and adds segment-exclusive HID headlights and industry-first factory forged-aluminum conventional wheels that can be upgraded to beadlocks. SVT Raptor is available exclusively with a 6.2-liter V8 engine producing 411 horsepower and 434 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to an electronic six-speed automatic transmission and 4WD.

“What’s helping drive Raptor sales is that Raptor delivers unmatched off-road performance to our customers,” said Doug Scott, Ford truck group marketing manager. “Raptor is also proof of our commitment to offer a truck for every customer and continuously improving them to meet our customers’ evolving needs.”
