American magazine Car&Driver have published a set of renderings of the new 2015 Ford Mustang which they claim are the closest to the real thing. They are done based on the latest spy photos and insider information. We have to say these are the finest renderings of the new ‘Stang we’ve seen since its face was revealed in a perfect spyshot.

Thanks to that shot, we know the 2015 Ford Mustang gets a new face which according to Ford has more ‘global’ appeal. It inherits cues from the likes of the Fusion and even Fiesta, and it doesn’t look bad at all. But it does look, if we’re honest, too mainstream for a legendary car like the Mustang.

Porsche proved that for you shouldn’t mess around the looks of an iconic model with the 911. Ford obviously doesn’t think so and likes to alter the Mustang every now and again, only to go back to the original design after all else failed.

Besides new design, the 2015 Ford Mustang features a whole host of advanced technologies, from a range of EcoBoost engines, to a new generation of MyFord Touch user interface. And yes, Ford is finally ditching the live rear axle in favour of some clever multi-link business.
