Some leaked patent images that show a cool-looking new Ferrari have caused quite a stir in the automotive world over the past few hours. On the face of it, the car appears to be a hard-core, sportier Ferrari FF. But nobody’s sure yet.

You can also see a lot of F12 in the design of these this machine, especially round at the back. We go so far as saying that it could very well be an F12 GTO. In any case, those vents in the bonnet and front wings suggest there is quite a monster living under the bonnet and it needs extra cooling.

The car’s aerodynamic properties also hint at something properly hot. There is an air splitter up front, and round at the back, a massive diffuser plus a spoiler that appears to be active, like that of the LaFerrari. You can also see the F12’s active brake cooling ducts at the front.

So, could be an all-new Ferrari model? A replacement for the California maybe? OK, maybe not the California, as any Ferrari named California must be a drop-top, and this clearly isn’t. We will keep you posted as the story develops.
