Acura RLX Sport Hybrid SH AWD 600x367 at Acura RLX Sport Hybrid SH AWD Set for Los Angeles Debut

At the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show Acura will unveil a new version of the RLX sedan featuring the company’s latest drivetrain technologies. It gets the company’s sophisticated and powerful hybrid system, and the super handling all-wheel-drive.

The Acura RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD boasts a 3.5-liter iVTEC V6 engine with no less than three electric motors. Together they make a total output of 377 horsepower, which is what you would get from a 5.0 liter V8. The fuel economy on the other hand is on the par with a four-cylinder car, with an EPA-estimated rating of around 30 mpg.

The RLS Hybrid comes with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission that helps the car achieve that great fuel economy. The four-wheel-drive system meanwhile gives it the sure-footed performance that is needed when there is that kind of power to play with.

Acura will announce the pricing and availability of the RLX Sport Hybrid at the L.A. Autoshow.
