A hundred years after Dodge brothers John and Horace developed America’s first mass-produced all-steel-bodied cars in 1914, the company is now celebrating being one of the most iconic American brands of all time with a couple of special editions. They are based on the finest ponies in Dodge’s stable, the Charger and the Challenger.

Dodge Charger and Challenger 100th Anniversary Editions will arrive at dealerships in the first quarter of 2014, boasting exclusive exterior and interior appointments as well as extra features exclusive to these models.

The 2014 Charger 100th Anniversary comes with stuff like 20 x 8-inch polished five-spoke aluminum wheels, special fender badging, a body-color rear spoiler, plus red “R/T” heritage grille badge.Inside it gets Molten Red or Foundry Black Nappa leather with a custom cloud overprint, flat-bottom steering wheel, Dark Brushed Graphite center console bezels and Liquid Graphite steering-wheel accents, plus more commemorative badging.

The highlight of the features is the Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen paired with Beats by Dr. Dre audio system incorporating 10-speakers and a 12-channel 552 watt amplifier, and bespoke Beats algorithm.

AS for the Challenger 100th Anniversary Edition, this too gets 20 x 8-inch polished five-spoke aluminum wheels and those unique “Dodge Est. 1914” front-fender badges and Dodge ‘100’ wheel center caps. Interior garnish includes Molten Red or Foundry Black premium leather, Liquid Graphite center console bezels, steering wheel accents and door handle pulls. Finishing it off there is a seven speaker Boston Acoustics audio system with 368-watt amplifier, along with Mopar “Challenger” sill plates and bright pedals.

Both the Charger and the Challenger 100th Anniversary models are available as optional packages, and can be ordered with either the 305 horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, or the 375 horsepower HEMI 5.7 liter V8. Both V-6 and V-8 models include sport mode calibration, performance-tuned suspension and three-spoke flat-bottom performance steering-wheel.

The anniversary kit costs $2,200 for the Charger and $2,500 for the Challenger.
