Loder1899, the German tuner with an affinity for hot hatchbacks, has come up with an upgrade package for the Ford Fiesta ST which they say boosts all the good things about the car. In its standard form, the Fiesta ST is one fine little hot hatch. But there is no getting away from the fact that it is rather underpowered.
The standard ST has 180 horsepower, which is a decent amount in a small car like this. But almost all its rivals have at least 200. What Loder does is provide the Fiesta ST with an additional 52 hp and 95 Nm of torque. That brings the total to 235 hp and 335 Nm of torque, which is more than the Golf GTI.
Ford Fiesta ST by Loder1899 also benefits from sportier suspension featuring Bilstein B14 components that lower the ride height by 25mm, and high performance braking system with 318 mm discs and four-piston calipers.
If you provide the money, the tuner can hook you up with different sets of 18-inch wheels with high performance tires, exhaust system, and even body kits. But as it is, the Fiesta ST is almost perfect. The sweet handling of this little car combined with the extra oomph make for an unforgettable driving experience.
