2015 Honda Fit and Acura TLX to Debut at NAIAS

2015 Honda Fit Teaser 600x360 at 2015 Honda Fit and Acura TLX to Debut at NAIAS

Honda and their American branch Acura announced the highlights of their lineup for the 2014 Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS), and they include the debut of the U.S.-spec 2015 Honda Fit city car, and the 2015 Acura TLX Prototype, which is the replacement for the TL.

The new Honda Fit arrives in the States boasting a funky new design, and more of the same qualities that made the previous models a hit in its segment, especially in Europe. Those qualities include a spacious and refined interior with tons of practicality considering the size of the car, great economy, and superb build quality. In the UK, the Fit is extremely popular with the elderly. Although, the new youthful design will probably scare most of them away.

The new model is built on an all-new platform and benefits from Earth Dreams Technology powertrain and Honda-exclusive next-generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering.

As for the Acura TLX Prototype, it is the car that will simplify Acura’s sedan range. When it launches in the second half of 2014, the lineup will include the entry luxury ILX, mid-size TLX sports sedan, and flagship RLX performance sedan.

To be available in both two- and four-wheel-drive versions, the TLX is said to have a very emotional styling with sporting credentials, and two all-new, high-performance and highly fuel-efficient direct-injected engines.
