GSC (German Special Customs) has one of the wildest imaginations among all German car tuners. They are widely known for their flamboyant takes on Mercedes models, but now they are venturing into the hypercar business by announcing an upgrade package for the McLaren P1.

This package, for the time being, exists only inside GSC’s computer. But they are so confident they can pull it off one they get their hands on a P1 that they went ahead of gave it a cool name already. They call it the “Night Glow”.

McLaren P1 by German Special Customs features an aerodynamic styling kit consisting of a front splitter, extra air vents front, sides and rear, aero blades on the sills, new roof scoop, modified rear apron with round tailpipes, a new diffuser, and a nicely placed rear wing. The latter replaces the P1’s standard active wing, which is a vital part of its aerodynamic balance.

After they’re through messing with the P1’s aerodynamics, GSC proposes a power upgrade. Of course, there isn’t much you can do to a V12-hybrid powertrain that makes 916 horsepower in its standard tune. But GSC believes that by installing their own exhaust system – to which those huge round tailpipes belong – they can push the output to over one thousand.

Now all they need to complete this project is for one of the 375 people who have ordered a McLaren P1, and spent more than one million of their precious Euros on it, to trust them with their pride and joy.
