German tuner VATH released details of its first tuning package for the Mercedes CLA. They chose the CLA 250 for this treatment, and gave it some modest styling upgrades, new wheels and suspension, and two stages of power upgrade. They call the ends result the CLA V25.
The standard CLA 250 comes with 211 PS which is not bad considering the size of the car. What VATH is proposing is a clever software upgrade that boosts the output to 245 PS with 390 Nm of torque. It drops the CLA’s 0 to 100 time to 5.9 seconds. If you want more there is a stage 2 that brings a sport exhaust system into the play for a total output of 265 PS and 420 Nm.
Stage one will set you back 940 Euros, while stage two with the fancy exhausts costs 4,950 Euros.
Next up is suspension package. Here too they offer two options. The first is a normal 425 Euros sport spring treatment for a 30mm lower ride height. The second is a more sophisticated adjustable Clubsport system suitable for road and track. It costs 3,546 Euros. You need some good wheels to go with your professional suspension. So Mercedes CLA V25 by VATH comes with a set of 20-inch wheels wrapped in 225/30 tires up front and 265/25 out back. They cost 3,027 Euros.
Other bits and pieces offered by VATH for the Mercedes CLA V25 include a 1,416 Euros carbon lip spoiler, a 333 Euros rear spoiler, sport steering wheel for 1,297 Euros, sport instrument panel for 1,535 Euros, and special floor mats for 226 Euros.
