From February 2, 2014, we will all have an excuse to stay at home on Sunday nights because Top Gear is coming back for a brand-new series with at last six episodes. They just released a bunch of preview pictures revealing many things about Series 21. So if you think knowing what’s to come will ruin the fun for you, stop reading this and run for the hills.

We have already covered the details of Top Gear Series 21 in a rather comprehensive post. TG’s own preview confirms some of the early speculations, while revealing more details about some of the power tests and challenges. It is fair to say these pics are more informative than the teaser videos BBC released a few days ago.

There is a Top Gear special episode in which the boys will go trucking in Burma, and a cheap car challenge episode filmed in Ukraine. Mind you, it is modern cheap cars we are talking about, including the Ford Fiesta, Dacia Sandero, and VW up!

As for the individual tests, the highlights include Jeremy’s review of the McLaren P1 at Spa Francorchamps, Richard’s review of the Mercedes G63 6×6 in the Middle East, and James’ review of a pair of new Caterhams at the Top Gear Test Track. There is also a compare test between the BMW M135i and the Golf GTI in which Jeremy, apparently, experiences the longest crash of his life. The incredible Zenvo ST1 hyper car and the Alfa Romeo 4C sports car will also make guest appearances.
