TRD, or Toyota Racing Development, is a division of the Japanese car maker whose job is to associate Toyota’s name with exciting stuff. So they make race cars and body kits, and now even specialized off-road vehicles. At least that’s what the new teaser they’ve released shows.

They have come up with a new line of SUVs and pickup trucks called TRD Pro, featuring a number of extras over the standard model that makes them visually more appealing and technically more capable. Toyota TRD Pro models include the 4Runner, the Tacuma, and the Tundra.

Toyota’s mantra for the TRD Pro models is “Let’s conquer the great outdoors”, which must mean the cars are appropriately equipped for tackling rough ground. As you can see in the teaser video, they’re fitted with larger wheels than standard and chunky off-road tires.

TRD Pro models also come with bespoke visual features such as TRD body parts and blacked-out accents. The lineup will be revealed in full early next month.
