Prior Design already has a nice PD500 Black kit for the current generation Mercedes CLS. So they decided they probably should make on for the previous model as well, seeing as a lot of people believe the W219 was as better-looking car anyway.
This is the result, and although it is completely brown, the package is actually called the Black Edition. What Prior Design has done here, and its rather clever, is use styling features of the newer model such as the front and rear bumpers and tailpipes to improve the old car. This way you get the best of both versions.
Mind you, the new components do not come straight off a new CLS, as Prior Design has modified them and added a designer touch. There kit includes the bumpers, side skirts, front fenders complete with side vents, rear widening, and a sport bonnet. This particular car also feature blocked-out grilles, which are cool, and red brake calipers and red stripes down the sides, which aren’t.
The cost of Prior Design Mercedes CLS Black kit is 5,999 Euros. It does a good job of revitalizing the old girl, though.
