Citroen announced the launch of its new DS3 Cabrio Racing Limited Edition in the United Kingdom. The funky little hot hatch, powered by a 207bhp 1.6 liter turbocharged four-pot, and boasting a wonderfully insane design, is priced at £29,305.
That is a huge amount of money for a hatchback, even one as hot as this. But then they are only making 100 right-hand-drive Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing, and that makes it pretty rare. This car stands a good chance of becoming a future classic since it drives as good as it looks.
Performance-wise, Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing is on the par with other hot hatchbacks with 200 horsepower, sprinting from 0 to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds and, and capable of reaching a top speed of 145mph. Compared to the standard models, though, the Racing treatment gives this car sports exhaust system & sports silencer, sport suspension with adapted front & rear shock absorbers (15mm lower than standard), wider tracks front and rear, uprated brakes and revised steering system. All this means the DS3 Racing is an absolute hoot to driver.
Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing is set further apart from normal models thanks to 18-inch Brilliant Black ‘Nemesis’ sports alloy wheels, Moondark Matte Grey body colour, and red graphics and accenting. Inside, it comes with Alcantara upholstery with red stitching and a numbered plaque, among other features.
