As some of you may remember, last year DRIVE channel came up with a series of documentaries called Inside Koenigsegg, in which they took us deep inside the Swedish car maker’s facilities and revealed many interesting facts about their cars, and how they go about making them. Now Inside Koenigsegg is back, offering an exclusive look at the most extreme car they’ve ever made – the Koenigsegg One:1.

The first episode of the new series covers the basics about the Koenigsegg One:1, and helps you wrap your head around its mind-boggling specs. The Company’s boss Christian von Koenigsegg then talks you through the development process, from the beginning right up to the moment they prepped the car for its trip to the Geneva Motor Show.

The most astonishing fact about the Koenigsegg One:1, and the reason it is called One:1 in the first place, is its 1-to-1 power-to-weight ratio. The car weighs 1,341 kg with fuel and liquids, and has a 1,341 horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine. Mind you, the 1:1 argument holds water as long as nobody’s in the car! As soon as you put a driver in it, the power-to-weight ratio is no longer 1:1. Not that it matter though, as you should still be able to hit the 440 km/h top speed Koenigsegg claims for the car.
