Just in time for spring Porsche took the wraps off a new, sportier version of the Boxster. Adorned with the GTS badge, the new car is based on the Boxster S model, but comes with a little bit more power, stiffer suspension, and a few visual tweaks inside and out. These changes make it a bit more special than the standard car.

In terms of performance, the 2015 Porsche Boxster GTS benefits from a 15 horsepower bump in the output of its 3.4 liter flat-six motor, now pumping out 330 hp (243 kW) and 370 Nm of torque. That enables the GTS to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, 0.3 secs quicker than the standard Boxster S PDK. The PDK also offers 34.4 mpg average fuel consumption, while the manual can manage 31. Both versions have a top speed of 280 km/h.

2015 Porsche Boxster GTS also features the Sport Chrono package, and can optional sports chassis configuration that lowers the ride height by 20 mm. Even without that, the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is more than capable to keeo the car in check.

As for the visual appearances, the Boxster GTS is set apart from the normal models by the virtue of its 20-inch diameter Carrera S alloy wheels, a new front spoiler, modified aprons, black finish Bi-Xenon headlights, and gloss black accents. Inside, leather and Alcantara are used to ensure exclusivity.
