2015 Jeep Renegade US Debut 600x450 at 2015 Jeep Renegade U.S. Debut Confirmed for NYIAS

Earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show Jeep revealed a small crossover called Renegade, designed mainly for the European market. Now they confirm the Renegade will also hit the U.S. market, and it is coming to the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) to make its first public appearance in America.

2015 Jeep Renegade mixes the brand’s legendary off-road capabilities and fun-loving character with European qualities like compactness and efficiency. It will come in different variants and body styles, including an open-top version, equipped with the latest safety, convenience and technology features.

The Renegade will also introduce a number of segment-first features, including nine-speed automatic transmission that contributes to outstanding on-road and off-road driving dynamics. The car will launch in America with two fuel-efficient engines, which, combined with the nine-speed transmission, will set new standards for economy in this segment.

But above all else, Jeep is counting on the quirky looks of the Renegade to sell the car. It is by no means a pretty car, but it has a certain charm to it that Jeep believes will attract youthful and adventurous customers.

2015 Jeep Renegade will be launched in the American market at the end of the year. Pricing and specs are yet to be revealed.
