The production of the Mercedes SLS AMG has come to an end, and the company is gearing up to launch the new AMG GT sports car in its place. Mercedes has no plans to launch a new supercar for the next five or six years, so the SLS is something to be cherished… even as a 1:18 scale model car!

This is Minichamps Mercedes SLS Black Series, and it is a brilliant die cast version of the original car, priced at just €99.90, so anyone can afford it. Measuring approximately 26 cm long and sporting exclusive original AMG body color, Solar Beam, the SLS Black model car consists of over 120 individual parts hand-assembled with utmost attention to details.

Minichamps Mercedes SLS Black Series is made from zinc die cast with plastic, and features functioning wing doors, bonnet and boot lid. The open doors reveal views of the accurate representation of all mechanical details and the high-quality printed interior.

All the little details of the original car are replicated here, including the the AMG sports body-contoured seats with printed AMG emblem in the headrests, the AMG performance steering wheel with red 12-clock marker, and the AMG decorative elements in carbon look with the logo printed on the glove compartment.

Being a Black Series of course, the model car also features the AMG aero kit with the big wings and spoilers and flared arches, as well as the AMG 5 double spoke wheels.
